Much of the competitor landscape provided a poor user experience, with cluttered content and inelegant marketing. The data here needed to be filtered cleanly and efficiently, getting the user to the content they wanted as smoothly as possible.
With so many potential attractions, a dynamically updatable map was developed that would alter search results on the fly. An array of filters allowed the user to further drill down into activities they may be interested in.
Key competitors ultimately adopted the same functionality. However, lack to stakeholder drive has meant the early gains have not been able to maximise the advantage of this significantly better user experience.
